Facts About Walt Disney World Fireworks Part 2
There is no better way to end a day at Walt Disney World than with a Fireworks show. No one does fireworks better than Disney. A lot goes into putting on the shows night after night. Here are some more facts and things that you might want to know about the fireworks at Walt Disney World.
During the summer there is a chance of rain most days in Central Florida. The same is not always true during the late winter and spring. Sometimes weeks will go by with no measurable rain, and wild fires start to spring up. At the Magic Kingdom they will water down the pavement to keep down the possibility of fires. The fireworks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are a different story. To keep everyone safe, if the weather has been particularly dry Disney will cut back on the amount of fireworks that they use inside the park.
Two Shows in One Day?
In 2016, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For the Christmas season, there was a replacement fireworks show called Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!. It ran from the middle of November until the end of the year. While people lined up early for the show, there were also some complaints about there being no Star Wars fireworks. The other show was brought back, and the two both ran most nights through the end of the season. That proves that it is possible to have two fireworks shows running simultaneously in one park. If you consider that there are fireworks in Fantasmic!, that’s three that were running at one time. All three shows were fantastic! Do not miss Fantasmic if you are planning a trip to Disney. Check the schedule at Hollywood Studios for dates and times of the show.
Speaking of the holidays, they are always special at Walt Disney World. Special times call for special fireworks. In the past, there have been themed versions of The Wishes Fireworks show to coincide with Mickey’s two parties. Holiday fireworks also take place to celebrate Independence Day, and to ring in the New Year.
