Prickly pear cactus, also called nopal, is promoted for treating diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity and hangovers. It is also touted for its antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Some preliminary evidence shows that prickly pear cactus can decrease blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes
The wealth of health benefits that come from nopales are mainly attributable to its nutrition and vitamin content, which includes riboflavin, vitamin B6, copper, iron, fiber, vitamin A, C, and vitamin K, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and manganese.
* Weight Loss
*Build Strong Bones
The extracts from the leaves of prickly pear cactus can be powerful regulators of glucose levels within the body. For patients with type 2 diabetes, it can cause a reduced spike in glucose levels, which makes the managementof diabetes easier.

Walt Disney World is offering a January promotion again for Florida residents to buy multi-day tickets.
The Florida Resident Discover Disney special is a three-day ticket for $159 plus tax or a four-day ticket for $179 plus tax.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that it’s a 14 percent increase from the previous January offers in 2017 and 2016 when the three-day ticket cost $139 for Florida residents. However, Disney says there are no blockout dates this year.
Proof of Florida residency is required.
The tickets are valid for one park — Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot or Animal Kingdom — per day unless the tickets are upgraded to park hoppers, which cost an additional $30 plus tax on the three-day ticket and $37.50 plus tax on the four-day ticket.
A power outage hit Disneyland in California, affecting dozens of attractions on Wednesday.
The outage started before 11 a.m. local time and hit Mickey’s Toontown and Fantasyland, according to a Disneyland representative.
As of early evening, power was restored “to all areas of the resort,” the company said, and Disneyland was expected to be “fully operational … as attractions come back online.”
Earlier, guests were escorted off rides until power was restored. A representative for the park said they were not aware of any people still stranded on rides.
The Anaheim Fire Department said it has not been tapped for any rescues.
“We escorted guests off of rides as part of standard procedure until the power was restored,” Disney representative Elva Rubalcava said, adding that power has been restored to a majority of the park, although some rides may still be affected.
The 85-acre theme park averages about 44,000 visitors a day, and holiday weeks are among its busiest times of the year.
Park officials attributed the outage to an issue with a resort transformer.
“We’ve determined that the issue is with a Disneyland Resort transformer and our team is currently assessing and working to restore power,” officials said in a statement released to KABC.
A representative for Disneyland said they do not plan to offer refunds to park visitors as of now.
A power outage at Disneyland took some of the magic out of the day for thousands of guests on Wednesday.
The theme park in Anaheim, California, lost power during one of the busiest weeks of the year at about 11 a.m. local time. KABC reports that the park was near capacity when the outage occurred in both Fantasyland and Toontown.
“We’ve determined that the issue is with a Disneyland Resort transformer and our team is currently assessing and working to restore power,” the park said in a statement to KABC.
A spokesperson for the park told KGTV that the “majority of power” was restored to the park at around noon local time.
The park’s Twitter account said in a post Wednesday afternoon that the park was only accepting re-entry guests.
Several rides, along with the monorail, came to a halt with guests still aboard. Twitter user Geoff Fienberg tweeted that he was “stuck on a fuckin ride” (he later identified it as “It’s a Small World”). In a subsequent update, he wrote that he was “saved, taken off through the under bowles [sic] of Disney.”
Disneyland Resort spokesperson Suzi Brown told HuffPost in a statement that the park was sorry for the inconvenience.
“Crews worked quickly to restore electricity throughout the day, and power to Toontown was restored by noon and by 4 p.m., power was restored to all affected areas,” the statement read. “At this time, all attractions are operating. Disney California Adventure park was not impacted by the outage and was fully operational all day.”
Other guests noted that they were unable to obtain refunds, and said the park’s crowds were unhappy.
Everyone loves to make a resolution- they make us feel productive and improving! The only problem is keeping them can get a little tricky… Whether it is laziness, uncontrollable urges or just forgetfullness, life gets in the way. So here are a couple quick tips for a better you. Here’s to 2018!
1. Be Very Specific With Your Goals
Having a vauge resolution like “lose weight” seems impossible! Try to simplify and scrutinize the goal, like “drink more water” or “excercise during the commericials” or “no more hot cheetos”. By zoning in on a problem area, the goal seems much more doable and not such a daunting challenge.
2. Don’t Just Create a Goal! Help Yourself!
You’ve got to give yourself a way to get where you want to be, like a map. Give yourself time and a path to your dreams. Be nice to yourself!
3. Get Encouragment from Others!
Telling others about your goals will help you stick to them! It may also encourage others to stick to theirs! Band together with friends and family to improve.
Holiday Episodes are the best, we can all agree to that. But we onyl get them once a year per show! That is why I have compiled MY personal favorite Christmas/Holiday Episodes of all the Classic TV shows and the new ones. Enjoy!
1. Friends- “The One With the Holiday Armadillo”
In this hilarious Episode, Ross, a new father, wants desperately to give his son a meeting to Santa Claus for Christmas, the only problem, all the costumes are sold out. That is where the Classic and timeless joke of the Holiday Armadillo comes in.
2. The Office- “Christmas Party”
Okay, the office is my all time favorite, so literally any Christmas episode is my favorite, but this one holds a special place in my heart. In this cringe inducing episode, Michael battles with secret santa and decides to turn it into a game of white elephant. This episode is quite early in the shows history, and therefore the interactions with Jim and Pam and quite simply adorable and the Dwight and Angela gift exchange is just as cute.
3. New Girl- “LAXmas”
In this hilarious story much like “Love Actually”, stories intertwine, yet all take place in an airport. With a perfect cameo from Billy Eichner, we all love this heartwarming but still gut wrenching holiday episode.
4. Bob’s Burgers- “The Last Gingerbread House on the Left”
This one was hard to choose from, all of the Bob’s Burgers christmas episodes are pure gold, but I am a sucker fro Mr. Fischoeder and his insanely weird personality and habits. Not to mention, Linda singing. Yeah, that’s enough said.
Located Inside New Orlean’s square, Club 33 is the most exclusive Disney related place ever. Not only is it the onyl place to get alcohol in Disneyland, but it costs a fortune to get in!
The annual fee costs between 12,500 to 30,000! But look at how pretty it all looks! Do you think it’s worth it?
This is one of two bars in Club 33, and it’s meant to look like it was hand carved1
We often revel about the fantasy of the past, but was it all it’s cracked up to be, especially during the holiday season? Let’s find out together.
1.) Popcorn on Christmas Trees
This is just all around disgusting. It really is! Such a waste! Of popcorn and of time! And then what do you to after? Eat it? Throw it away? It makes no sense!
2.) Train Sets Protecting The Tree
I love this one, it is so classic, so perfect. What’s better than having a train run around a tree to protect the goodies inside the presents? Nothing! Some added bonuses, it makes the tree look HUGE and it is a reminder of how many presents to buy, because you cant go outside the circle the train has made!
3.)Adorable Vintage Christmas Cards
These are just also so perfect. Very classy and cutesy, and genuine. They mostly have women on them, being super sassy in their giant poodle skirts, what’s not to love? The colors are vibrant and there’s always a cat or two!
4.) Tinsel. Everywhere
This one is a nightmare, I can imagine, these cheap little tinsel frilly things that both cats and dogs love to eat and then throw up, and you find stuff in your hair when taking a shower, they’re everywhere! Nothing says “tacky” more like a bunch of tinsel on a beautiful tree!
